At SSD, we offer Opalescence Whitening products,

the two main ones we use are  Opalescence Go Advanced (prefilled whitening trays) and Opalescence Gel syringes for custom trays. Both are professional take-home whitening systems that are convenient, effective, and easy for patients to use.

We recommend it for patients who want to brighten their smiles, remove discoloration caused by everyday habits such as drinking coffee, tea, or red wine, or simply maintain a whiter smile.

How to use the prefilled trays? Well, each kit comes with 10 sets of prefilled, disposable upper and lower trays. Patients simply place the trays over their teeth, gently adapt them into position, and wear them for the recommended time.

Depending on the concentration, wear times are typically:

• - 10% hydrogen peroxide: 30–60 minutes daily.
• - 15% hydrogen peroxide: 15–20 minutes daily.

Afterward, patients remove and discard the trays, rinse their mouths, and continue their regular oral hygiene routine.

What results can patients expect?

Most patients begin noticing a brighter smile within a few days, with more noticeable results after completing the recommended treatment. Results vary depending on the patient’s natural tooth shade, the type of staining, and their daily habits.

One important thing we always explain is that whitening only works on natural teeth. Crowns, veneers, and fillings will not change color. Some patients may also experience temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation.
